Not every family can afford premium childcare. And not every child has access to safe, enriching places to go during the school holidays. That’s why our work with councils, charities, and community groups matters so much.
At Holiday Camp, we believe every child deserves access to joyful learning, no matter their background. Here’s how our community-focused model supports inclusion, opportunity, and local collaboration.
Proudly Supporting Local Authorities
We partner with borough councils across London to deliver:
- Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programmes
- Targeted outreach to families most in need
- Fully subsidised camp spaces
- Safe, structured holiday care for vulnerable children
Through HAF funding, we’ve helped thousands of children access nutritious meals, hands-on learning, and joyful experiences they wouldn’t otherwise have had.
“As a working parent, I couldn’t afford holiday childcare. The free place gave my daughter somewhere safe and stimulating — it made all the difference.” – Parent, West London
Food, Fun, and Family Support
Our council-funded camps provide much more than just activities. Each child receives:
- Daily nutritious meals
- Active movement sessions
- Enrichment projects (STEM, drama, art, team games)
- Emotional and social support in a nurturing setting
We also provide wraparound support for families, from translation help to signposting local services.
Working Hand-in-Hand with Communities
We don’t just serve communities — we partner with them. We’ve run camps in:
- Schools and pupil referral units
- Libraries and youth centres
- Churches and faith venues
- Community halls and housing trust spaces
Wherever we go, we work closely with venue managers, local organisations, and volunteers to ensure our programmes reflect the needs and values of the neighbourhood.
Real Results, Real Impact
Beyond smiles and laughter, our work delivers tangible results:
- Improved school readiness and social skills
- Reduced holiday hunger
- Increased physical activity
- Higher confidence and wellbeing
Many children return to school more prepared and positive after their time at camp — and schools take notice.
“This programme changes lives. You’re not just filling time — you’re shaping futures.” – Youth Services Officer, Council Partner
